Tell us about yourself in under 100 words.
I wrote my first story – about a crocodile’s birthday party, dictated to my mom on the typewriter – when I was two years old, and I never stopped. Each day for me is a celebration of the written word: I’m constantly reading and writing but remain laconic off the page. I’ve been a journalist for the past 10 years. I love anything that’s funny and have a finely honed sense of justice. The 1970s make me feel most alive. Aquarius sun sign, Sagittarius rising.
If you were talking on the phone to someone you had never met how would you describe your appearance?
Long, dark hair. Most likely dressed in black.
Have you ever struggled with a lack of confidence or insecurities? If yes, please elaborate.
I changed my nose a lot in my 20s, and now I am at peace.
When do you feel most beautiful?
While laughing with my best friends and at the end of a long run.
What are your “Not Enough” feelings?
I often feel that I should be more than I am – harder working, more creative and more emotional, friendlier.
If you were given the option to change your appearance would you? If yes, what would you change?
I’d like to be taller, much taller.
What are 5 things you love about yourself?
My irreverence, sense of humor, intelligence, friendships, and cheekbones.
I say cellulite, you think:
What is your message to other women out there?
Love each other.
